Avon, CT – Every year for the last 23 years, Hartford Business Journal has selected 40 top young professionals who are leading their respective organizations. Out of a nomination class of 177, the top 40 emerged from the private, public and nonprofit sectors and from organizations both small and large. This years’ 40 Under Forty event/celebration will be held on Sept. 26, 2019 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.

Investment News’ 40 Under 40 project aims to reveal the potential in the financial advice industry by finding often unrecognized young talent doing remarkable things. The winners were chosen from a pool of almost 1,000 nominees by a panel of reporters, editors and other representatives of Investment News, to make a list of 40 talented individuals. Nominations are accepted for professionals from all sides of the financial advisory industry, including registered investment advisers, registered representatives, financial planners, brokers, insurance agents, certified public accountants, bank trust officers, firm executives and those working for industry organizations. Investment News determines nominees’ eligibility for the 40 Under 40 list based on the following criteria: accomplishment to date, contribution to the industry, leadership and promise. Hartford Business Journal 40 under 40: Nominees must: be 39 years old or younger for the entire award year, live in Connecticut, and work for a company operating or based in the 61 towns of central Connecticut. Winners are selected from the field of nominees by a panel of independent judges made up of selected professionals and community leaders. Individuals will not be honored more than once. Only one person from each company will be honored in a year. Self-nomination is allowed. The independent judges base their scoring solely on the submitted nominations forms.
