This month to celebrate our 25 years of business Robert Hensley and Associates donated to the McLean Annual Golf Tournament and Auction to benefit Home Care and Hospice. It was a day full of sunshine and “birdies”. Well, definitely the sunshine part. Two of our own participated in the tournament, McLean Golf committee member Bob Hensley and member Joe Shiman, accompanied by their long-time friends, member Bob Maxon and Bill McGovern.

Located at The Hop Meadow Country Club in Simbsbury the tournament was full of players, 137 and many local businesses sponsored the holes. Those of us that didn’t play golf met with our players for dinner afterwards. The dining room tables were filled with many other supports, businesses, players, coworkers and family for a total of 170 people. Hop meadow Country club did a wonderful job of hosting this event. The service was outstanding and the dinner was delicious.

Following dinner was the live auction called by Bob Maxon. Total funds raised from the live and silent auctions was approximately $14,000 and after the additional donations from individuals and sponsors this event raised a grand total of approximately $50,000.
